Much of my work is inspired by the memory of Gennady Ozerov, a business partner and close friend, who died on September 28, 2002.
An avid skydiver, he was in a plane with a group of 17 people in the drop zone of his home town, Krasnoyarsk City, Russia. At 150 meters the engines failed and they had to perform an emergency landing.
Gennady was helping pull others from the damaged plane when it exploded. Gennady was one of three survivors, but he sustained burns over 46% of his body.
He and one other survivor soon died of complications due to their injuries.
